Advertisement Ideas: Hammering The Message Home
I am asked all the time JDOGG how do you get people to respond to yoiur message. I always answer by hammering them, reminding them about who I am, what I am doing, and why they shoud be supporting my endeavors. Many ask aren’t you afraid that you may upset some people with this tactic? My answer is I never intend to upset anyone however many times it takes someone to hear and see the message 10 times before they react. Many times you have to put a consistent print ad out in the community over a long period of time until people react. Many times you have to air the same radio commercial for months to build your message. ON many occassions placing the same TV AD over and over will help deliver the message.
Which one are you going to use to hammer home your message.
Once you have your message it is imperative to find avenues to maximize your message and hammer it home. Many times think what will it take for someonr to get it and respond to the message. In my dealings with people when delivering the message about The American Cancer Society Relay for Life I have to make it a point to hammer home the message and purpose of relay before they will donate. One afternnon I was in a place of business ansd the woman behind the counter was a bit hesitant to donate so I asked her if she was familiar with Relay For Life she said no and I proceeded to explain relay and explain that the money raised is used for research, education, advocacy, and services, she then donated $5. It is not that people do not want to give many times they need a reason to give and thus hammering home your message will convince them to give. This goes for sales, marketing, promotion, or anything where you are using your message to drive business.
Many times using a logo will bring attention to the advertisement to help you hammer home the message

I am often asked JDOGG I attend many networking functions and I have ahard time getting my message across and understood? I start by saying sit down with me for an hour consultation and lets get to know what your message and your mission is and develop a 1 minute intro that will be effective and thus attract people who are serious about doing business with you.
1: Define who you are? I am JDOGG Lederman and I help to maximize your message with many proven strategies
2: Know who your target audience is. My target audience is small business owners looking for marketing and media relations assistance.
3: Know your purpose for attending the event. In many cases I used to try to promote to many things now I do as Amonda Rose Igoe suggests I pick a lane and stay in that lane. if it is an event where my goal is to promote and collect for The American Cancer Society Relay for Life I stick with that as my main function. If I am there to promote myself as a voice over takent and marketing and media relations specialist I do that.
4: Keep literature with you at all times
5: Post that you will be attending the event and if people want to do one on ones they can book a time with you.
