I often take the stage and immediately start using inspirational quotes like this one from Mother Theresa, “Do not wait for another, do it alone, person to person.” I have found this to be an effective way to entice my audience as I continue to deliver my presentation. I utilize many quotes from Mother Theresa as they resonate with the audience and give me a win from the beginning.
When using quotes it is imperative that they are aligned with your message if you are using quotes about reaching out to people then be consistent with your message. There are many resources for quotes and many great quotes that will grab your audience, help you to keep your audience and leave your audience wanting more.
Trusting in your message so that it resonates with others will help you to grab your audiences attention. For example I used Hellen Keller’s Quote “I am only one but still I am one, I can not do everything, but still I can do something, I will not refuse to do something I can do,” in my radio show as the show is designed to empower and inspire others.
Some of my Favorite Quotes Are:
.When you get knocked down land on your back because if you can look up you can get up- Les Brown
. When you change your thoughts you change your life- Dr. Wayne Dyer
. There is boldness in beginning- Goethe
. Winning isn’t everything it is the only thing- Vince Lombardi
. Hard work never hurt anyone- My Mother
In print using a quote is proven to attract the eyes of a reader 54% more times than an ad or story without a quote. In picking quotes find the ones that resonate with you and represent who you are and the message you want to deliver. Remember the proper use of quotes can build a trust between you and your audience. Denis Waitley wrote”A smile is the light in your window that tells others that there is a caring, sharing person inside.” This week as you use inspiring quotes to grab your audience remember to share with a smile.
