It is when you are of service that you get the best results. As I watched The Muscular Dystrophy Association Telethon on Sunday 9/4/11 I realized a common theme of corporate sponsors who aligned themselves with this event. How many more cans of 7-UP were sold today because consumers saw the donation made to MDA last night? It is proven that by aligning yourself with charitable causes and events your sales increase as many consumers will feel comfortable doing business with you as they know you are giving back to the community.
When you tie your promotions to charitable causes your brand is strengthened and your revenue increases. From November 2010 – May 2011 Skyline Chili ran a Chili for The Cure Campaign donating nearly $5000 to The American Cancer Society Relay For Life. As a result they picked up regular customers, received media coverage, and built a reputation as a business that gives back to the community. They are currently running a Monthly fundraiser for The Multiple Sclorosis Society.
On March 24, 2012 I along with Barbara Theodosiou, founder of The Addicts Mom, will be prsenting The Spiritual Entrepreneurs Visonary Awards at The Crowne Plaza Hotel in Sunrise, FL. The tickets are $75 with a portion of teh sales being donated to The Addict’s Mom Scholarship Fund and The Reaching Out to Cancer Kids Camp. Our speakers will be Sarah Spiritual, Founder of The Credito Enlightenment Center, Dr. Mia Merrit, Author and Empowerment Coach, Dr. Ernest Chu, Author of Soul Currency, Ken Esrig, Author of Star From Where You Are, Rev. Dr, Dee Adio-Moses, Author of You Are Enough. It is our hope that businesses will levarage this as an opportunity to help build their bransd while helping the community.
