Content-Marketing-Strategy tangerine digitalAs I work with clients I am always asked what is the most effective way to market? I don’t think there is one methodology that is the best way I believe that an integrate approach  to marketing is necessary. I think knowing your target audience is very important. It may be true that everyone may be able to utilize your product or services, however it is vital to know who your ideal client is. I have  attended many networking events and everyone is busy trying to sell what they have to offer that they never connect on a cellular level and thus are not effectively marketing. One of the most effective ways to market is to listen and then find ways that you will be of service and value to clients/customers. Ask yourself what can I do to add value to the people I am interacting with. I sit in Starbucks and I listen to people and if their conversation relates to anything I am doing I will go over and introduce myself and give them a business card. Some may look at this as a strange way to market, however I can tell you from experience that by being in tune with others and introducing myself I have secured gigs to emcee, conduct a marketing consultation, and to do training. In putting myself out there I have  secured donations for The American Cancer Society Relay For Life by simply sharing http://main.acsevents.org/goto/jdogg2 and my reason to relay. In sharing who I am and how I can be of service to others I have  created many income producing activities that also help to strengthen my brand.

Sections-Wear-your-brandOne of the most effective things you can do to effectively market is to wear your brand. Since I do many things I pick one of my projects to wear each day. if I am promoting Relay For Life I will wear my Relay For Life Apparel and carry marketing material related to Relay. if I choose to promote The South Florida Gold, a professional basketball team I announce for  I will wear my Jersey or other apparel related tot he team and have free tickets to give away. Every client I have  worked with has provided me with shirts to wear to promote them. As a promoter of many products and services I must decide who to promote and then have a strategy that will be effective in getting results.

Reaching the Community Means Getting Out of the Church - Christian ...I have  found a great way to market is to simply get out in the community by simply wearing your brand and then going business to business to introduce yourself and seeing how you can be of service and value to the people you are meeting. Picking up business cards and then following up is the key. I recently took a  stack of the business cards I have  accumulated over the years and started to call the people and ask them to support my efforts with relay for life. Many asked for the link so I emailed it to them and 2 people visited http://main.acsevents.org/goto/jdogg2 and  made donations. being in the community, meeting people, and following up has proven to be an effective way to market.

Many people feel this way and they relay on texting and email and social media to market and they leave money on the table because they do not realize how important the phone call still is.The phone is a very effective marketing tool especially if you know who you need to speak with and how what you are offering will benefit them. I call on business people to offer them an interview on my TV Show, The Anything Bucket, which airs on www.wrpbitv.com on Tuesday at 6:30 PM EST. Many times I get an answering machine so I leave a detailed message. I am always amazed when someone just calls back without checking their message, however I know that I now have  a chance to share how being on my TV Show is of value and service to them. So many people don’t realize just how effective the phone can be when it comes to marketing. The only thing more effective is a face to face meeting.

Sign Up Log In As a professional PA Announcer it is important for me to find out about sports teams in the area that can benefit from my services. I generally look up Tournaments and Teams and then I call to introduce myself and ask if they have a PA Announcer. If they say yes I thank them and ask them if I can email them information for future reference. If they say no I ask if they would like one and then I tell them about me and my experience. In doing this I have landed GIGS with The Legends Football League, Broward College, Lynn University, The South Florida Gold, The Palm Beach Punishers, and The Coconut Creek Eagles. In other cases I just simply showed up and asked if they needed an announcer and if they said yes I announced, which led to paying gigs. The key is to be out there and to be promoting yourself seeking opportunities that lead to Income Producing Activities (IPA).  Knowing how you can be of service and value and how to convey that message will help you in building your brand and increasing your cash flow.

Jonathan JDOGG Lederman, The Positive Broadcaster, delivers a message ...In picking a lane a being laser focused on marketing I have been able to raise over $30,000 for The American Cancer Society Relay For Life. As a result of being the emcee for this event I have secured paying gigs because people are seeing and hearing me and understanding the value I bring to them as an emcee or PA Announcer or voice over talent. In all aspects of marketing it is important to reach the people who are going to spend money with you and help you to strengthen their brand. Find the lane and continue to effectively market.
